States and Capitals Testing
Order of States and Capitals Testing:
1. State Abbreviations Quiz (example: CA for California) October
2. Fill in the blank test #1 (given states 1- 25 in alphabetical order and
student must fill in the capital city with correct spelling) February
3. Fill in the blank test #2 (given states 26-50 in alphabetical order and
student must fill in the capital city with correct spelling) February
4. Map Test #1 (given a map of the Western half of the USA and students must
identify the state on the map using correct spelling) May
5. Map Test #2 (given a map of the Eastern half of the USA and students must
identify the state on the map, using correct spelling) May
