Each verse will be used for two weeks. The first week, students will be required to write the entire verse and the second week, students will be required to write what the verse
means. Students will be required to know the Bible reference in addition to the verse. All verses use the NIV translation of the Bible.
In the 5th grade, we memorize a passage of scripture and write out the verse(s) at the end of the week. The following week, we have the students write out what the verse means in his or her own words. This helps each student to internalize what the verse means to them.

Memory verses are done for the year!
It's our prayer that your child will grow in their knowledge and love of God and those around them. We also want them to gain a deeper understanding of their unique learning style as they begin to advocate for themselves at school.
